Masini was established in Melbourne, Australia by Ebonnie Masini. Since launching as a luxury sleepwear label in 2013, the range has expanded into lounge and travel attire. In a world where people are spending more and more time at home, Ebonnie saw a gap in the market for sleepwear and loungewear that could close the gap between home and street dressing, creating comfortable and sophisticated collections that can translate from lounging at home to lunches with friends.

Masini has become known for its playful prints which are all designed by Ebonnie. She takes her inspiration from architecture, nature and interiors of various destinations around the world. Each print is named after the destination it was inspired by, such as lemons on a leafy vine, inspired by Palermo, Italy, and a leafy palm print inspired by the Caribbean country, St. Lucia.

With a strong focus on style, comfort and functionality, Masini incorporates luxurious fabrics with flattering and modern silhouettes. The silhouettes are slightly oversized for comfort and cut into a stylish and contemporary fit for everyday wear. Masini uses viscose, which is a wood based fibre, as well as cotton and linen. All fabrications can be washed and do not require dry cleaning.

Masini has collaborated with the Art Series hotel group on printed pyjamas and robes for guests at The Olsen hotel in Melbourne and The Johnson hotel in Brisbane. She has also collaborated with acclaimed artist, Caroline Walls on a pyjama set printed with the artist drawings, and a classic pyjama set for renowned Australian label, Viktoria + Woods.

Ebonnie has worked in fashion for 15 years and received honours in a Bachelor of Fashion Design at Australia’s RMIT University. She then went on to work as a fashion buyer for luxury boutiques in London and Dubai. Her most recent role was the head buyer for the world’s largest shoe store, Level.

After moving back to Australia to start Masini, she now resides in the Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy with her husband, Mike and French bulldog, Loui.

She always had an innate love of sleepwear and launched Masini to combine her passion for all things design, travel, art, architecture and interiors.
